In order to get some more exact information on some recent killings Logan went to talk to a police officer named Vince Kingsley. He’s just about to head out on a patrol and his partner Bennett offers to take her along to the scene of a shooting that he witnessed.
He is clearly freaked out by the event and questions the coroner’s findings. He gives Logan a list of addresses and the general circumstances of each crime. He particularly points out a case where a courier was assaulted.
They are just about to head back towards the station when they are called to a nearby strip club. A reported homicide and guns fired. Logan finds herself drawn to the event, and follows officer Bennett inside, against better judgement. When she hears him react with shock to the scene she heads up the stairs but stops just outside the door. She’s feeling strangely curious, almost obsessive, and really wants to head inside. At the same time she knows she really don’t want to see a murder victim up close. She hesitates and manages to get a grip of herself and leaves. She’s left with a nagging feeling that she should have gone into that room.
